“Wiener’s SB902 would target single-family zoning, which allows no more than one home per lot, by legalizing modestly denser development statewide. With exceptions for wildfire zones and existing affordable housing, it would permit two to four dwellings per parcel depending on a city’s population.

It would also give local officials the option of rezoning for up to 10 units per parcel without extensive environmental review. “
