- Current defect law incentivizes costly lawsuits that don’t actually benefit the homeowners, and decrease the construction of condos.
- AB 1903 addresses this by shifting the default in defect cases from litigation to physical remediation, a benefit for both homeowners and builders.
- AB 1903 will lower the risk of costly defect litigation and encourage the construction of more affordable homeownership types.
